ESN Uni Turku is organizing an unforgettable trip into the heart of Lapland, exclusively for you, our dear exchange students!

This spectacular journey to the exotic northern parts of Finland takes place from Tuesday 1st February (evening) to Monday 7th February 2011 (early morning) (four nights in our destination).

The destination is Levi, the biggest ski resort in Finland, which lies in the middle of pure nature and large wilderness areas. More info here: http://www.levi.fi/en

You'll have the chance to enjoy and try out all kinds of winter activities, from cross-country skiing & snowboarding to anything you can imagine. We are also organizing husky & snowmobile safaris! There will be more information about them later. Please, follow ESN Uni Turku mailing list and this Facebook-event!

The best part is that no previous experience is needed! In fact, it doesn't matter if you have never been on skis before, you'll still have a blast! We can all get to action, thanks to the conveniently instructed ski school :D

The trip has always been sold out in the previous years, and this year we're selling up to 45 tickets before Christmas, so that the students who are spending the whole year here in Finland, can buy the tickets well in advance. All the rest of the tickets (45) are sold in January.

The price of a ticket is 190 € with the ESN card (200 € without the card) and it includes transportation (bus) and accommodation in cottages of high quality (including sauna). You should have the 190/200 euro in cash and exact change with you come to the info meeting! Please, notice that activities are paid separately.

You can pay your ticket in the information event which will be organised later. Please bring the money in CASH. We will only be selling 1 ticket/person.

- hear more about the trip: destination, program etc.
- pay your ticket (190/200 in CASH)
- pick your cottage (4-10 people in one cottage)
- sign up for the safaris (payment later)
- sign up for the ski school (payment later)
- sign up for the ski passes (options: 1, 2 or 3 days)

Everybody should remember to check that they have a valid insurance during the trip dates. ESN or the Student Union will not take any responsibility in case of any damages or injuries.

Preliminary program:

1 Feb departure in the evening around 20:30
2 Feb quick stop in Santa Claus Village at the Arctic Circle in the morning, arrival to Levi in the afternoon
3 Feb ski school, snowmobile safari approx. 50 €
4 Feb husky safari approx. 30 €, karaoke night
5 Feb winter fun!
6 Feb departure from Levi around noon, stop at Kemi snowcastle (weather permitting)
7 Feb arrival to Turku early in the morning (around 04:00)
