Ahoy all the sailors!

It's here again, as big and great as before: ESN Sea Battle 11.-13.4.2010 !! This awesome boat trip combines two nights of non-stop partying with a sightseeing in both Tallinn and Stockholm. Do you want to be a part of the lucky ones who get to experience the biggest ESN event on the Baltic Sea this year? To be one in a boat full of exchange students from Finland, Sweden, Estonia and Latvia?

What is ESN Sea Battle?

Sea Battle is a somewhat traditional, massive party cruise for the exchange students studying in Finland, Sweden, Estonia and Latvia. Approx. over 2000 students in total will be sailing on the Baltic Sea for two days. This year our route is Helsinki – Tallinn – Stockholm – Tallinn – Helsinki. Besides having a good time on the boat in an international atmosphere with your fellow exchange students from Finland, Sweden and Estonia, you also have a chance to visit the capital cities of these three countries briefly at a ridiculously cheap price. On board there will be programme: speed dating, karaoke, live bands, salsa lessons, tax free, disco etc.

What's included in the ticket?

ESN sections in Turku are happy to announce that this spring we will sell altogether 180 tickets to the party cruise of the year! One ticket costs 85 euros. The price includes return bus ticket to Helsinki and back, one Buffet meal on the boat (different themes, but basically eat as much as you can and drink for free!!) and of course the ticket for this unforgettable trip! You can pay the tickets only in cash, please have exact sum with you!

Where can I buy a ticket?

We'll be selling the tickets on Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd of February. There will be three ticket sale places. All the ticket sales are open for everybody - no matter which school you are from.

The ticket is personal and buying it is binding, meaning that you cannot return it or give it to your friend just like that, so do not buy it unless you're absolutely sure you can attend the cruise in April. You can buy tickets also for your friend(s). Have your friend's information (full name, sex, nationality, email address, phone number etc.) when you come buy the tickets. And of course, don't forget the money :)

Sea Battle is growing all the time and tickets will assumable get sold out in a heartbeat. Respect your fellow students while queing for the tickets. Don't join your friends who came earlier but take your place at the end of the queue!!

Can I share a cabin with my friend?

On the boat there are cabins for four people. It's easier for us, if you decide in advance who you wanna stay with, form a group of 4 and then come to buy the tickets together at the same time. (Don't worry if you don't find yourself a group, you can still attend this cruise.)

Do I need visa?

All passengers must have a valid ID card to board the ferry. If you are a citizen of a country within Schengen you only need a Schengen valid ID. Other citizens may need a passport and possibly a visa. Contact your embassy for more information. ESN will not refund your ticket if you have passport/visa troubles. Check with embassies to make sure you have the right documents with you.
