Erasmus in Schools Information Event

Hi Erasmus Students!

Would you like to get a chance to visit Finnish schools and familiarize yourself with Finnish culture? Or would you like to present your home country to Finnish kids/youth and gain new contacts/friends in the process ?

If you answered YES to at least one of the previous questions this information session is the place to be for you:

on Monday the 12th of September at University of Turku, Publicum (lecture hall 2) at 5pm - 7pm!

ERASMUS IN SCHOOLS is a nationwide project aimed for all European students interested in visiting local schools during their stay in Finland. It is a great way to make the most out of one's exchange period by getting to know the Finnish culture and schooling system a bit better.

Erasmus students can visit Finnish comprehensive (grades 1-9) schools and upper secondary (10-12) schools. Erasmus students can work as teachers' helpers, carry out a project with the class, give a lecture on a certain topic etc. depending on what the student, teacher and school preferences.

School visitors will also receive movie tickets and official certificate of participation as a small thank-you!

In this information event you will hear more about the Erasmus in Schools project as well as the Finnish school life in general. You will also have a chance to ask questions and hear about the school visit experiences from a former exchange student! We will also have former ESN member in the meeting to tell us about her work as a teacher in a Finnish school.

Come and hear more about this excellent chance to get to know Finnish culture a bit better!

Although we definitely welcome everyone to hear more about the project and Finnish school system in general, Erasmus in Schools project itself is meant only for European students.

AND in this info event you can take part in a LOTTERY, and possibly win memory sticks, movie tickets, overall patches etc!!

Mobility) and it's part of their program called "Koulu Euroopassa - Eurooppa Koulussa" (School in Europe - Europe in School) which is is implementing the Management Partnership between the European Commission and the Government of Finland.

Project is coordinated by European Movement in Finland (Eurooppalainen Suomi ry). Erasmus in Schools and ESN sections around Finland are cooperating closely to promote and develop the project.
